In-Studio Performances

During my time as a DJ, I've been fortunate enough to see artists perform in-studio. This is a totally different than seeing them in concert but no less satisfying. There is much more relaxed vibe and that makes for great music. Here are some of the performances I've been lucky enough to witness. Enjoy!

The listeners hate it but here it is:

An acoustic version of "Headstrong" from Trapt.

Interviews

Interviewing famous people is either the easiest thing ever or the most difficult thing about my job. You never know what kind of mood the interviewee is in until that microphone is on and they are talking. If they are in a good mood, great...let's have some fun! If they are in a bad mood...well, let's just say that pampered celebrities are pain in the ass to deal with. Here are some outtakes from some of the people I've had a chance to to talk to over the years. Enjoy!

Tom from Blink 182-VERY funny guy who is totally cool to talk too. In Clip #1, Tom talks about what Blink asks for in their Rider (which is a list of things bands would like at each venue. Food, drinks, toiletries, etc.) and some of the weird things they end up with. That leads to a discussion on dreams. In Clip #2, Tom talks about hazing the band Jimmy Eat World on the last night of the tour with Green Day.

Brad from 3 Doors Down-I had a chance to talk to Brad during the 2003 DC101 Chili Cookoff and I asked him what it was like to write a song like "When I'm Gone" and have it connect with some many people overseas fighting for our country.
